2024 Felton Road Jeroboams Pinot Noir Block 3 3.0L

Felton Road
The 2024 Felton Road Block 3 Pinot Noir Jeroboam (3.0L) hails from a gentle north-facing slope in The Elms vineyard, Central Otago, New Zealand, on silt soil with calcareous seams. It displays aromas of ripe strawberries, plums, and granite with mineral undertones, dark cherry, leather, and mocha flavours, featuring chewy tannins, smoky character, and profound depth.

Felton Road Block 3 Pinot Noir originates from a prized single block on a gentle north-facing slope in The Elms vineyard at Bannockburn, Central Otago, New Zealand, planted in the early 1990s with grapes farmed organically and biodynamically. The 2024 Jeroboam edition, from a vintage yielding small concentrated berries, displays aromas of ripe strawberries, dark cherry, wild thyme, granite minerality, smoky earth, and baking spices, with a plush palate of black berries, mocha, leather, and chewy tannins supported by vibrant acidity and fine structure. This poised, profound wine, fermented with wild yeasts and matured in French oak, offers immediate appeal yet excels with cellaring potential from 2030 through 2041+, embodying the estate's minimal-intervention ethos and Burgundian finesse.
